Never Know

You're lying at the foot of a skyscraper. A wall of fears, hurts, trials. You're feeling discouraged, feeling like a failure, feeling like there's no way you can carry on, like you'll never make it. Feeling alone, abandoned, afraid. In this moment now keep going. Keep fighting even if you fail because you never know what you can do until you try. You never know how strong you are until you have to be. You never know what's waiting on the other side.
You're straight as an arrow. Pointing directly at your target wizzing by any obstacle that may stand. Negativity cannot touch you. You're at the top of your game, unstoppable, 10 feet off the ground. Stop now. Realize this. Realize what you have, who you have, that in a month, or a year, or 10, these will be the good ol' days. Enjoy it now because you never know when this could all vaporize, gone in an instant, like it never was except in your heart and memories. You never know when will be the last laugh with your best friend, your last dinner with mom, or the last wave to your neighbor as you pull out of the driveway. You never know what lies in wait for you.

When you are living, one moment at a time, fully invested in the present, you give it all you've got. Let the past be the past, let tomorrow worry about itself. You do what is right, noble, and lovely here and today. When you are doing what you are able to do without distraction or burden tugging on you from another tense, past or future, you never know who you can touch. You never know who you may encourage or inspire. We don't understand the big picture of what is going on, and we may never fully grasp it, but know this: you have more power and influence than you most likely comprehend. Use your life for what you can, to lift the atmosphere to possitivity, creativity, and individuality. Speak up for those who cannot do it for themselves, for freedom, compassion, for love. Use your talents and the love that comes from the Lord for those around you, your family, friends, or any perfect stranger, and for those you don't even know are watching, because you do never know.
